Contractor Final Joining Instructions

Event Schedule:

Move-in and Move-out:

  • Please familiarise yourself with the Event Schedule so you are aware when contractors and exhibitors are permitted to carry out work in the hall
  • Industry and company health & safety policies are to be observed and adhered to at all times
  • No persons under the age of 16 are permitted in the exhibition halls during these periods

  • Do not obstruct the aisles and exits with rubbish. Gangway access needs to be maintained in case of an emergency

Move-in Access:

  • The loading dock entrance is on Ft. Duquesne Blvd between 10th Street and Garrison Way
  • Height restrictions are 13’4” on the 10th Street Bypass
  • Contractor passes are NOT required. All contractors will be issued with a wristband upon arrival; please wear it for the duration of the move-in period
  • Please review the loading dock procedures HERE
  • Contractors may:
    • Unload and reload their own vehicle at the loading dock, in the designated POV area as specified by your show contractor. It is limited to one trip to the loading dock area with unlimited trips to and from the vehicle
    • Unload and reload their own materials provided they use their own non-mechanized dolly and/or cart. No dollies, carts, or material handling equipment will be supplied to exhibitors by the convention center or hired show contractor
    • Unload and reload their materials provided the POV is no larger than a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV). i.e.: No U-hauls, box trucks, etc
    • The drop off lanes on 10th Street are designated as a “no loading” zone and as such are not for POV use

Traffic Regulations:

  • Any instructions issued by members of DLCC staff responsible for directing and controlling traffic must be followed at all times
  • Any vehicles in violation of the regulations may be removed at the owner’s risk and expense

Forklifts & Material Handling:

  • The Official Onsite Material Handler, Freeman, are the only company permitted to use forklifts in the loading dock and exhibit hall for this event

Catering:

  • Catering facilities in the hall are not open during the move-in period

Fire Safety Requirement:

  • Booths and/or equipment are not permitted to block emergency exits
  • 10′ clearance required around all emergency exits
  • Crate storage in designated area only; crates/ empties are not permitted to be stored in the exhibit area
  • Booths must be made of non-combustible materials. Certificate of treated materials must be presented upon request
  • No flammable materials such as bunting, tissue paper, crepe papers etc. will be permitted as decorations

Move-out Access:

  • Exhibits can be removed and booths dismantled from 5.30pm on October 12, 2022; move-out prior to this time is not permitted
  • The loading dock entrance is on Ft. Duquesne Blvd between 10th Street and Garrison Way
  • Height restrictions are 13’4” on the 10th Street Bypass
  • Move-out October 12th – 5.30pm-10.00pm
  • Move-out October 13th – 8.00am-12.00pm (Custom-build exhibitors & freight collection only)
