Graphene Applications Day, Presented by The Graphene Council
We are thrilled to announce The Graphene Council will be hosting a conference on Graphene Technology in the exhibit hall at The Advanced Materials Show on Day 2, Wednesday October 9th.
The Graphene Council is the leading global authority on the commercialization of graphene and is involved in setting industry standards, testing and characterizing materials, verifying graphene production and products, and the monitoring and supporting of regulatory compliance.
This conference will bring together a diverse panel of experts, thought leaders, and innovators from the field of graphene.
Hosted by The Graphene Council on October 9th.
Graphene Applications Day Agenda
Presented by: Terrance Barkan, Executive Director, The Graphene Council
The graphene sector is rapidly evolving with new production capacity, increased industrial demand and major application announcements. This session presents the latest trends based on an in-depth review of global stakeholders with updated production and demand forecasts.
Presented by: Jim Eades, Business Development Leader, Levdian
Graphene is able to improve rubber performance as well as to help do away with toxic additives such as 6PPD. Graphene works both alongside and instead of incumbent carbon black materials to deliver multifunctional performance enhancements to tires. Levidian is a climate technology company, sustainably producing graphene and clean hydrogen fuel from methane/natural gas sources. Levidian is working with the tyre supply chain to both decarbonise these businesses and develop sustainable graphene-based solutions.
Presented by: John Tingay, CTO, PARAGRAF
Graphene is an ideal sensing platform enabling much greater sensitivity and selectivity for a broad range of sensing applications include gas or liquid phase, bio-medical, hall effect, GFETS and other electronic allocations. Hear from a leader in the field.
Presented by: Alex Rzhevskii, Raman Spectroscopy Specialist, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Use the latest state of the art tools and techniques to better characterize graphene materials for quality control and research purposes. Sample preparation and measurement techniques are key.
Presented by: Tarek Jalloul, Business Development Manager ‑ Composites, NanoXplore
Established in 2011, NanoXplore runs a 4,000-metric tons per year graphene powder production facility where their highly qualified Research and Product Development team’s expertise helps improve the performance of industrial materials, including thermoplastics and thermosets.
Presented by: Mr. Kyle Skaggs, CEO and Mr Mir Ali, Director of LC & SPC, Color Master INC
Color Master, working with The Graphene Council, is preparing the master batching and test coupons for physical testing for a range of graphene materials at different load factors in LMPAEK thermoplastics produced by Victrex. The session will discuss some of the challenges faced when compounding graphene and specifically about the objectives of the LMPAEK testing project.
Presented by: Dr. Cary Hill, Director, Nanomaterial and Emerging Contaminant Safety, ITA International
Emerging international ISO standards will include recommended characterization testing and the adoption of a standardized Technical Data Sheet for graphene materials. Learn about graphene materials can be tested to comply with emerging international standards.
Presented by: Dr. Monica Tisack, Director, Mississippi Polymer Institute
The Mississippi Polymer Institute provides testing and application development expertise from a well appointed facility to help companies leverage the use of graphene for advanced manufacturing capabilities. Learn about current projects and applications.
Presented by: Ron Presswood, CTO, Elemental Advanced Materials
Not only can graphene be produced from sustainable sources, helping to decarbonize carbon intense industries, but graphene further reduces embedded CO2 in automotive, aerospace and industrial applications. Hear from a leader in sustainable graphene production.
Presented by: Hyun-Jong Chung, CEO, A Barristor Company
Graphene has attracted many intentions for a post-Si material due to its high mobility. Until recently, graphene field-effect transistor (GFET) applications were expanded to various sensor applications such as gas sensors, biosensors, and phototransistors. This talk will review the limits of graphene transistors for sensor application applications and the barristor-based sensor platform will be introduced.
Presented by: Rey Rubio, Vice President, MEP World Group
Graphene is being intensely scrutinized as a key ingredient to strengthen concrete, reduce embedded CO2, accelerate the time to cure and extend the life of structures. Learn about real world applications in actual building structures.
Presented by: Terrance Barkan, Executive Director, The Graphene Council
Based on a review of more than 700 types and forms of commercially available graphene and analysis of more than 300 graphene producers, this session provides guidance for companies looking for reliable graphene partners.
